After skipping the LG L9 II from Indian market LG Mobile is back with their next gen L Series III Smartphone LG L90 Dual here in India. If you remember LG introduced LG Optimus L9 way back in late 2012, the device was a beast with crisp 4.7″ IPS display with a powerful 2150 mAh SIO+ battery. For some unknown reason LG didn’t released the second instalment LG Optimus L9 II in Indian soil. Now as a LG fan, we have both the Smartphones with us, thus we though it’s great to compare both of them.

LG L90 Dual vs Optimus L9

We will compare both LG Optimus L9 and LG L90 Dual in four separate ways:

1) Design.

2) Hardware Specification.

3) Software.

4) Benchmarking via AnTuTu.

So let’s have a look how both the Smartphones are different from each other.

1) Design:

LG L90 Dual vs L9 – Design

a) LG Optimus L9 (P765) is the highest specs Smartphone of L Series I (2012) sporting a qHD (540 x 960 pixels), 4.7″ IPS LCD Display with (~234 ppi pixel density). whereas the LG L90 Dual (D410) having the exact similar spces in terms of screen size, screen resolution and ppi.

What we will get extra in LG L90 Dual is the Corning Gorilla Glass II protection along with the latest Optimus UI support.

b) As far as design is concerned, LG Optimus L9 is 131.9 x 68.2 x 9.1 mm in dimension where LG L90 Dual is 131.6 x 66 x 9.7 mm – only 0.6 mm thick from the previous device.

c) While L9 is carrying the true aesthetics of L Shape, LG has somehow change that with contour design with a curve with LG L90 Dual.

2) Hardware Specification:

a) Where the Optimus L9 is a Single SIM device, LG L90 Dual is a Daul-3G-supported device.

b) LG Optimus L9 ia having TI OMAP 4430 chip set under the hood with a 1 GHz Dual Core Cortex A9 processor, for graphics support we are having the PowerVR SGX540 GPU along with it. On the other hand LG L90 Dual have Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 (same as Moto G and Samsung Galaxy Grand 2) along with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU supported by Adreno 305.

c) LG L90 Dual has 8 GB of mass memory, twice as LG Optimus L9 (only 4GB), both are having 1GB of RAM.

d) LG has placed improved 8MP rear camera (along with Multiple-Auto-Focus) in LG L90 Dual from the 5MP Single Auto-Focus rear shooter from Optimus L9. Both are capable of shooting 1080p (Full HD) videos.

e) As far as battery is concerned, LG always try to give the highest possible capacity under the hood, with Optimus L9 we are having a 2150 mAh battery whereas with LG L90 Dual you will find a whopping 2540 mAh battery.

3) Software:

LG L90 Dual vs L9 – Software

a) Under LG Optimus L9 you will get 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) which is upgraded to 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), on the other hand with L90 Dual you will get KitKat (4.4.2) pre-loaded.

b) LG continuously improving their Optimus UI (currently 3.0) and with LG L90 Dual a user will get features like Safety Care, Quick Memo Overlay, Guest Mode, Quick Remote, which as missing in the L Series I Smartphones.

c) Along with LG’s revolutionary KNOCK code now a user can unlock the LG L90 Dual (all L Series III Smartphone and LG G Pro 2) with just few simple taps on the blank lock screen.

4) Benchmarking via AnTuTu:
