Samsung is selling over 12 lakh smartphones worth Rs 1000 Cr on day 1 of online festive sales

In terms of value, Samsung has sold more than Rs 1,000 worth of Galaxy devices in 24 hours,” Samsung said in a press release.

Electronics giant Samsung India announced on Sunday that it was offering more than 12,000 Galaxy smartphones priced at more than Rs 1,000 on the first day of online festival sales on Amazon and Flipkart.

Samsung has reduced the cost of Galaxy series smartphones by between 17% and 60% for Christmas gross sales.

“On the first day of the online festival, Samsung sold over 1.2 million Galaxy devices, setting a new record in India. Samsung Galaxy smartphones have been among the most wanted devices thanks to never-before-seen deals on Amazon Flipkart. To put it bluntly, Samsung has offered more than Rs 1,000 worth of Galaxy devices in 24 hours,” Samsung said in an announcement.

Samsung has slashed prices on smartphones like the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22, Galaxy M53, Galaxy M33, M32 Prime Edition, and Galaxy M13. For the Galaxy S22 premium series, the company has announced discounts ranging from 17 to 38 pieces.

"With a strong start to holiday sales, Samsung is ready to consolidate its 5G and smartphone management in the country," the company added. According to market analysis firm IDC, Samsung had a market share of 16.3 PCs in the second quarter of 2022 with 5.7 million units shipped.
