Android KitKat update coming to LG Optimus G, G Pro and G Pro Lite Dual


Good news for G Series fans, after the the latest G Series devices get the Royal KitKat treatment, it’s time for the old once. LG Brasil announced that the first generation G Series devices will get the taste of Android KitKat later this month. Both the LG Optimus G and LG Optimus G Pro will receive the update within July.

The official LG page released a picture of Android KitKat landing on a LG Optimus G Pro from a parachute. As far as the lighter version of the first Gen G Pro, LG G Pro Lite Dual will also get the Android KitKat either later this month or the next depending on the location and operators approval.

We are expecting to see LG’s latest patents such as LG KNOCK code or KnockON along with the update. Don’t be a surprise if you get the McAfee app with LG’s own Kill Switch feature landed on your device along with the OTA update.

So if you are one of the user of Optimus G or LG Pro, soon you will be notified with System Update, either you can do the update over the Wi-Fi or 3G. Even you can check out your nearest Service Centre for the update.

We will notify you as soon as we get any more information related to KitKat for LG Optimus G or LG Optimus G Pro. For the thousand of LG G Pro Lite Dual owners just sit tight and any day you will see the system notification from LG.
