Leaked Screenshots confirmed LG to revamp Optimus UI with LG G3

Since late last year we are witnessing the rumoured specs of the successor of LG’s last year flagship – LG G3, for many it will come in a form of 5.5″ QHD display with 3GB of RAM, then again few blogs are claiming that this will be pack with Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2GB of RAM. Well, the rumor mill will be rolling till LG officially reveal the device sometime in Q2. Digital Trends just leaked the complete revised Optimus UI for LG G3.

The screens show flatter and brighter icons, a revamped weather widget with built-in suggestions, a much cleaner looking notifications screen, and circular icons (a new trend). Even though many bloggers and geeks appreciate LG G2, few criticized the clusters of app in the notification menu, seems LG have listened to them and remove most of them – to gives it a fresh look.

There are few new things we have noticed from the new Optimus UI such as revamped ‘Weather Widget’ where ‘AccuWeather’ become more personalise with a “Concierge” like feature where the widget will advice the user. From the leaked image you will notice the AccuWeather is advising the user to take the umbrella. It sounds like Google Now! But surely LG’s engineers are working hard to make it even stronger than Google Now.

If you noticed the Home Screen of the new UI, you will notice the small ‘G’ icon on the left most screen toggle dots, which might be a new service included by LG with LG G3. Since the LG announced the tagline for G2 – ‘Learning from You’ they are working really hard to justify that, and a Google Now or HTC Blinkfeed like customized (read more personalized) widget will add more solidity to their ongoing work.
