LG announced LG L80 Dual in Indonesia, India release expected soon!
It looks like LG is determined to expand their Smartphone business worldwide this year with one after another mid-tier Smartphone announcement. after their February’s MWC announcement of L Series III trio – LG L40, LG L70 and LG L90 (both in single and dual SIM variants) last week we witnessed yet another new device LG L65 in Russia. Earlier today LG Indonesia announced yet another L Series III Smartphone – LG L80 (Single and Dual).

As Samsung, HTC and Sony announced and released their 2014 flagships respectively, LG has few months in hand with LG G3, and it seems they doesn’t want to waste a single day to grab the budget segment (INR 12000-20000) in the emerging markets. Though we don’t know the full official specifications of the device, we still managed to snatch few important details of LG L80.
Finally LG is going to launch a 5″ device with 480×800 (WVGA) resolution powered by 1.2 GHz Daul-Core Qualcomm MSM8210 Snapdragon 200. It looks like 1GB RAM is an industry standard now, and you will find the same with LG L80. Like other LG Smartphones you will find the vivid IPS LCD display with LG L80 too. As far as internal memory is concerned, 4GB is what you will get with an option of 32GB expansion.
For many 5MP camera might be a bit low as most of the Chinese vendors are giving 8MP if not 13MP camera with a INR 15,000 range Smartphone. But with DSLR like 9 auto focus grids and cheese shutter will make it stand alone from its competitors. Possibly a VGA camera you will get in front, if not 1.3MP.
Other specifications of the LG L80 include such connectivity options as 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The smartphone is powered by a 2540mAh battery, though LG has not detailed battery life ratings.
But we believe Android KitKat (4.4.2) with LG’s own Optimus UI on top along with revolutionary KNOCK Code will make it extra spacial. Now if you are looking for a large screen dual SIM device with cool screen quality, long lasting battery and latest Android OS, your search end here.
